On the September 9th broadcast of “Tucker Carlson Tonight,” attorney Harmeet Dhillon joined the Fox News host to discuss the news of dozens of subpoenas and search warrants being thrust upon Trump allies and supporters by none other than the FBI.

Ever since the FBI raid conducted at Mar-a-Lago in early August, two sentiments were cemented among most Republican voters, with those being that the raid on Trump’s home is a signal that the FBI has “gone too far” and a lingering question of whether “MAGA allies and supporters are next.”

Well, it seems that lingering questions have been answered, as Harmeet Dhillon of the Dhillon Law Group informed Tucker Carlson that after rumors of the FBI “serving 50, approximately, search warrants or subpoenas on Trump supporters” was on the horizon, she’d learned a handful of her own clients were the recipients of said warrants and subpoenas.

Dhillon explained that she’d first heard the rumors of these impending warrants and subpoenas via a journalist who’d reached out to her earlier in September.

“Well, the truth is that a few days ago, a political reporter called several people and said, ‘Hey, have you heard or have you been served yet? The FBI is going to be serving 50, approximately, search warrants and or subpoenas on Trump supporters.'”

According to Dhillon, within a 24-hour period from when she’d first heard these rumors of lingering FBI raids and subpoenas, clients of her firm signaled they’d been targeted, with Dhillon noting that the scope of these warrants are extremely “broad.”

“And then, you know, within 24 hours of that, two of our clients – three of our clients, actually – did either get search warrants or subpoenas. And the subpoenas are extremely broad. They’re from the ‘Capitol Siege’ section of the United States Department of Justice’s D.C. office. And they asked for broad categories of documents. They asked for all communications dating from a month before the election until…two months after the election. And they asked for all communications regarding dozens of people. And the categories are alternate electors, fundraising around irregularities around the election, and also a rally that happened before the January 6 situation at the Capitol…this ‘Save America’ rally that happened.”

The attorney went on to highlight that all of these communications that the Justice Department is seeking are constitutionally protected speech while also stressing that the Justice Department seemingly leaked this information to the press in order to “instill fear” into Trump supporters.

“Basically, most of this activity, if not all of it, is protected by the First Amendment. And the United States Department of Justice is telling reporters about these search warrants and subpoenas before they’re executed. There’s no other explanation for this. And I think the reason for this is to instill fear into Donald Trump supporters and into those who would challenge election irregularities right before an upcoming election, Tucker.”
